YOU'VE READ THE BOOK
YOU'VE SEEN THE TRAILER
AND NOW THE "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS" MOVIE IS OUT
HOW CAN YOU TOP THAT?
with a PART 2 OF COURSE
SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER HERE WE GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
o and another thing....I WATCHED THE FTW MOVIE TODAY!!!! IN MY HARRY POTTER COSTUME!!!!!
ok enough caps
let's get down to the seriousness
in a word...it was Awesome
but there are some faults and therefore i rate it a 4 out of 5
Let's just say i'm not a big fan of director David Yate's directing style
i mean i dunno what he's doing
either it's just his style...or he's just too lazy for transitions - or both
most of the scenes are just too less dialogue...the acting...meh...
The acting is probably because the actors are just so tired of their characters.
not blaming them....how long has it been? 10 years?
but come on...for the fans? Please?
very little dialogue.....that's a problem...the action is a little to routine and there is too less talking....like there's no communication between the characters.
so that leaves the really touching scenes far from it's supposed effect.
For those of you who never read the book or books (SHAME ON YOU), you WILL be lost. So stop being so lazy and read the book.
The music....is average....WHY DID JOHN WILLIAMS HAVE TO LEAVE??!!!
probably got tired of the series too.
the new guy is some french guy named Alexandre Desplat
if you've seen a video about David Heyman the producer praising this guy, just so you know, that was promotional/commercial bull...sorta
i was really disappointed that they didn't use Hedwig's theme a lot...probably because Harry is growing up and all. The music actually did a good job with the mood and atmosphere of the movie. I can tell that this guy has range; he can create really heavy, dark music while adding a few whimsical fluidity here and there.
But it wasn't all bad. Now i'm saying this not because i need a filler for the "pros," but because i really think so. This 7th installment of the series has reached a whole new level. It is different and really a breath of fresh air (with a few pollutants in it of course, but generally good). Over the years we've talking about how each film graduates to a new level of darkness and becoming more adult. well, we had know idea what we were talking about...until now.
Without the whole children's school uniforms and games like Quidditch and Neville, things are becoming way more darker than ever. There is no Hogwarts or Dumbledore and Harry, Hermione, and Ron are all completely dependent on their own skills and abilities. They are being chased by Snatchers, Death Eaters, the Ministry, and the most sinister of all, Voldemort.
Let me tell you, this is not a boring movie. THIS IS NOT A BORING MOVIE.
srry, i had to say that in case i mislead you in the beginning.
WARNING: YOU MAY FAINT DUE TO AN OVERDOSE OF EPICNESS.
the movie actually pays close attention to the characters....not just Harry, but to Hermione and Ron as well. that's all i can say since i don't wanna give anything away.
Also the movie sticks with to the book so all you hardcore Harry Potter fans can stop complaining. wait..did i tell you guys that i'm a hardcore Harry Potter fan?? well...now i did
Another thing; I guarantee that you will laugh (in a good way) and scream (in a good way). This movie doesn't take itself too seriously so it's not boring ( i had to make that clear). Ron is hilarious - that's all i can say...again. The screaming...well, i read the book so i knew what was going to happen so i didn't scream. but it scared the crap out of me anyways!
in the end, I FULLY RECOMMEND IT - and not because i'm a biased fan......
.......?
i think that made sense. Anyways. Really worth my 16 bucks (IMAX)
lol i was planning to go up to the ticket booth place, flick my credit card lazily, and say, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows....oh yea...i forgot to mention....IMAX"
unfortunately, my dad wanted to try out the ticket machine...
